We are seeking a dedicated and reliable person for a custodial position. They will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This role supports the mission of the school by ensuring facilities reflect Christian values of care, stewardship, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean classrooms, restrooms, office, hallways, and common areas
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors (including waxing and/or buffing as needed)
* Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
* Maintain cleanliness of gymnasiums, cafeterias, and chapel areas
* Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
* Perform minor maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, basic repairs, reporting larger issues)
* Assist with seasonal cleaning (deep cleaning, summer prep, snow removal)
* Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals
* Occasionally be available to clean after evening events
Qualifications:
* Previous custodial or janitorial experience
* Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
* Ability to lift heavier items (when required) and perform physical tasks (standing, bending,
walking, and lifting)
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
* Supportive of a Christian educational environment
